Teresa McNamara

Ms. McNamara first began working in family law in 1997. While attending both college and law school, Ms. McNamara worked with various family law and child advocacy attorneys in Orange County and took specialized courses to prepare for this particular area of the law. Ms. McNamara obtained a mediation certificate and earned a Witkins award (for the highest grade) in Family Law and Bankruptcy. Before opening her private practice in 2014, Ms. McNamara worked as an associate for two predominate family law litigation firms in Orange County. She has practiced family law exclusively since she obtained her license in 2008 and has litigated several complex custody and financial issues before most of the judicial officers in Orange County.
Ms. McNamara continues to expand her education, experience and service work. Ms. McNamara taught Community Property as an adjunct professor at Western State College of Law and often is a guest lecturer on the topics of family law, child support, domestic violence and drug/alcohol abuse. In 2015, Ms. McNamara graduated from the National Family Law Trial Institute and became a California Certified Legal Specialist in Family Law in 2016. Ms. McNamara holds a quarterly clinic for victims of domestic violence and has served as the treasurer for the Orange County Lavender Bar Association since 2013.
